CMPOLAR®

Cu/CuSO4 fixed reference electrode with two coupon

Product description:

CMPOLAR® is a tool for measuring cathode protection consisting of a fixed reference electrode (Cu/CuSO4) and polarization coupons. The electrode can be used to continuously measure the polarized potential of IR Free metal structure without disconnecting the system power supply. In addition, CMPOLAR® also provides the ability to measure the protection current density. The special design of CMPOLAR® (patent number 1020210000011345), includes the perfect coupon position relative to the reference electrode and the optimized porous ceramic surface, making CMPolar® a unique device.

By default, CMPOLAR® has two coupons, one with dimensions of 10 cm2, and the other can be customized to 1 or 2 cm2. Advanced production technology in CMPOLAR® production allows you to customize it according to your application, as a changing coupon surface or cable on demand. The main dimensions of the CMPOLAR® body are a maximum diameter of 111 mm and a height of 142 mm.

Measuring sensitivity

Sensitivity is an important aspect of any instrument to measure potential and polarization in cathode protection is its ability to react quickly to environmental factors and transient erroneous currents. Current and potential fluctuations are simulated with CMPOLAR® to ensure its sensitivity and accuracy. An example of the quick response of CMPOLAR® to the transitional state is shown in the graph next to it.

Customize to Customer

Advanced production technology in the production of CMPOLAR® allows you to adjust it to the needs according to the specification and needs of the customer, on request by changing the surface of the coupon or the appropriate cable.

Mechanical resistance

In the case that the electrode is properly installed, the special design of the bearing, including its ceramic body, ensures maximum ability to tolerate soil stresses in long-term applications.

Maximum durability

The special ceramic body with the appropriate internal capacity of copper sulfate and copper wire length, results in an extended expected life of CMPOLAR® up to several decades.

Size

The main dimensions of the CMPOLAR® body are a maximum diameter of 111 mm and a height of 142 mm.

Installation

Installation of CMPOLAR® is easy because all parts are integrated in the right size. According to the general rule, all polarization coupons should be installed in the same ground as the protected structure. The CMPOLAR® is optimally mounted in the vertical direction to allow it to tolerate ground fractures with a cover. The side distance between CMPOLAR® and a protected structure, such as a pipe, should be several dozen centimeters. This distance should not be too small to ensure that there is no physical contact between CMPOLAR® and the protected structure.
