Cu/CuSO4 fixed reference electrode with 10cm2 and 1cm2 coupon
The use of polyethylene coating or similar types of high-dielectric coating on new pipelines requires the use of a polarization coupon to simulate coating leakage. Copper spiral wire with 500 cm2 of exposed surface inside saturated electrolyte ensures a constant read even in difficult use.
These coupons allow you to locate the electrical critical point (patrz EN 13509:2001). CMP has developed a durable reference electrode that combines a typical Cu/CuSO4 gel reference elektroda with two a.c./d.c electrodes. polarizing electrodes of carbon steel with an active surface of 10 cm2 e 1 cm2 ; the used cable is 10 m H07RNF 3×4 mm2.
The measuring station equipped with these reference electrodes enables the most appropriate control of the effectiveness of cathode protection by eliminating omic fall in the soil, also due to the presence of AC.
